-International Events-
1. South Korean Prime Minister Han Duck-soo reinstated as acting president after impeachment overturned: South Korea has been thrown into huge political turmoil, since Yoon, a conservative, declared martial law on Dec. 3 and sent hundreds of troops to the liberal-controlled National Assembly and other places in Seoul. Yoon’s decree lasted only six hours as enough lawmakers managed to enter an assembly hall and voted it down quickly. (AP) (AC-The high court voted to reinstate him for now until the martial law charges are tried in court. It’s a tumultuous time for one of the US’ favored allies.)
2. Venezuela to Accept Deportees Again Following New Deal With Trump: Flights to Venezuela started in February after an initial agreement was reached. Then they were stopped in March by the Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro. Now, after an apparent new agreement, flights are set to resume. Last weekend, Maduro announced that the agreement and planned deportation flights were “affected” by the administration’s cancellation of Chevron’s oil license, (IBTimes)
3. Second lady Usha Vance to visit Greenland: Second lady Usha Vance will visit Greenland later this week, the White House announced Sunday, the most high-profile visit yet as the Trump administration eyes the Danish territory. The trip was denounced Monday by Greenland Prime Minister Mute Egede, who said Washington was interfering in Greenland’s internal affairs, according to the French news agency AFP. “It should be said clearly that our integrity and democracy must be respected without foreign interference,” AFP quoted Egede as saying, adding that it “cannot be seen as just a private visit.” (CBS)

-Economic Indicators-
1. Dollar Steady as Markets Weigh Trump Tariffs: The US dollar index remained firm above 104 on Monday as investors awaited further clarity on President Donald Trump’s trade policies ahead of the April 2 deadline for his reciprocal tariffs. Trump suggested on Friday that there could be “flexibility” in the plan, while weekend reports indicated that the tariffs may be narrower in scope, potentially sparing some industries. -Security Incidents and Concerns-
1. Trump order on information sharing appears to have implications for DOGE and beyond: A new executive order from President Donald Trump aims to expand information-sharing across federal agencies as well as between federal and state governments, but civil libertarians and other experts are warning that the main purpose is to help normalize how the Department of Government Efficiency is handling government data. The order, issued Thursday, directs all federal agency heads to modify or rescind any regulations preventing the sharing of unclassified data and records between federal agencies. (TheRecord)
